Star Wars Fortnite Event | ‘Tales of the Underworld’ Premieres In-Game Ahead of Disney+ Debut

Fortnite and Disney are teaming up for their most ambitious Star Wars event ever. Beginning May 2, Fortnite: Galactic Battle launches with an all-new, fully themed Battle Royale season. This collaboration brings weekly Star Wars content, iconic characters, and a groundbreaking digital experience.

In a first-of-its-kind crossover, “Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld” will premiere inside Fortnite on May 2—two days before its Disney+ release on May 4. Players can head to the Star Wars Watch Party island, created in Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), to view the first two episodes of this new animated anthology series.

The immersive island includes a custom-built Star Wars theater and action zones where players can fight off waves of Stormtroopers with lightsabers and blasters.

New Gameplay, Skins, and Ships

Throughout the Galactic Battle season, players will unlock fresh Star Wars-themed content weekly. This includes:

• Playable characters like Darth Jar Jar and Emperor Palpatine
• Iconic ships like X-wings and TIE Fighters
• A massive live finale event: Death Star Sabotage

These updates promise to deliver thrilling gameplay and deep immersion for Star Wars fans.

Unlock Stormtrooper Skin by Linking Accounts | Fortnite Star Wars Crossover

Starting today, players can link their Epic Games account with MyDisney to unlock a First Order Stormtrooper Outfit. This is the first step toward building a shared entertainment universe that blends Fortnite and Disney’s digital ecosystems.

Disney+ Meets Gaming | Fortnite Star Wars collaboration

This collaboration marks the first time a Disney+ series debuts inside a game, setting a new benchmark for digital entertainment. According to Disney’s Sean Shoptaw, Executive Vice President of Games & Digital Entertainment:

“We’re launching a new future where fans can play, watch, create, and connect—all in one space.”

Epic Games President Adam Sussman added:

About ‘Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld’

Created by Dave Filoni, the new series explores the galaxy’s criminal underworld. Two main storylines follow:

• Asajj Ventress, a former assassin, goes on the run with an unlikely ally.
• Cad Bane, the infamous bounty hunter, confronts a lawman from his past.
