Filipino “Lumpia Queen” takes Filipino food to the global stage.
Filipino food content creator Abi Marquez, known online as the “Lumpia Queen,” achieved another milestone by winning Food Creator of the Year at the 2025 World Influencers and Bloggers Awards (WIBA). The event took place during the Cannes Film Festival in France.
Marquez shared her excitement on Instagram on May 25. She posted photos of herself proudly holding the trophy. “Won Food Creator of the Year at the WIBA Awards during the 2025 Cannes Film Festival,” she wrote.
She wore a stunning red terno designed by Jo Rubio, inspired by the classic Pinoy Spaghetti. It was a creative way to showcase Filipino culture on a global stage.

“This is my first time in Europe, and I’m honored to be recognized for what my team and I built with love,” Marquez said. “Being surrounded by global creators and carrying the Filipino flag through food means everything.”
Abi thanked her family, friends, and management for their support. She also expressed gratitude to her followers. “To everyone who watched and shared our content, thank you. You helped bring Filipino food to the world,” she added.
A Record of Firsts for Abi Marquez
Abi Marquez is best known for her viral lumpia and Filipino recipe videos. She became the first Filipino from the Philippines to win a Webby Award in 2024. She earned the People’s Voice Award in the General Social: Food & Drink category. That same year, she also received a nomination at the James Beard Media Awards and was listed in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia.
