Darius Garland Sprained Toe | MIAMI – The Cleveland Cavaliers will be without All-Star guard Darius Garland for Game 4 of their first-round series against the Miami Heat. Garland is sidelined with a sprained left great toe.
The Cavaliers, leading the series 3-0, made the decision Monday night after Garland tested his toe during pregame warmups. Game 5, if needed, would be in Cleveland on Wednesday. If the Cavs clinch the series in Game 4, they would get several days’ rest before facing either Indiana or Milwaukee in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
Garland first injured his toe late in Game 2. He missed Game 3, a 121-84 Cleveland blowout, and was limited in Sunday’s optional workout at the University of Miami. | Darius Garland Sprained Toe

“I don’t think it’s an eight-week thing,” head coach Kenny Atkinson said. “It’s more about managing the pain. The toe injury is tricky because you’re constantly using it.”
Garland played a crucial role in Cleveland’s early series success, averaging 24 points and seven assists in the first two games. During the season, he posted averages of 20.6 points and 6.7 assists per game. The Cavaliers held a 62-15 record with him and 5-3 without him.
