Gabby Windey and Robby Hoffman’s Surprise Las Vegas Wedding: A Love Story for the Ages

2 min read

Reality TV star Gabby Windey, known for The Bachelorette and The Traitors, surprised fans by announcing her secret wedding to comedian Robby Hoffman. The couple eloped to Las Vegas, joining the ranks of other celebrity couples who have tied the knot in Sin City.

A Love Story Sealed in Vegas

Their decision to marry came unexpectedly. When wildfires forced them to evacuate their Los Angeles home in January, they realized, “If the world is ending, we want to be with each other.” Days later, they drove to Las Vegas and made it official.

The ceremony lasted just 20 minutes, officiated by Reverend Nature, who wore red sneakers and kept things lighthearted. A photographer named Big Nate captured their special moment. They danced down the aisle to Chappell Roan’s Hot to Go! and exchanged rings from Cartier.

“It was just us two,” Windey told Cosmopolitan. “We did everything in two days.”

A Classic Vegas Wedding Experience

Wanting their marriage to last, the couple carefully chose their wedding chapel based on celebrity weddings with long-standing relationships. Hoffman humorously avoided venues associated with short-lived marriages, opting for One Love Wedding Chapel, where Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker wed.

The cost? A budget-friendly $799, which included photos and a limo ride. Windey described the venue as having a Bachelor-esque vibe with roses everywhere. “It was a beautiful night—I could cry. It was pure joy.”

Their love story became even sweeter when they learned their home had survived the California wildfires, making their spontaneous wedding feel even more magical.

Famous Celebrity Weddings in Las Vegas

Windey and Hoffman now share a unique connection with other stars who have chosen Las Vegas for their weddings. Here are some of the most memorable Sin City marriages:

Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck

After calling off their engagement two decades earlier, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck finally tied the knot in a spontaneous Vegas ceremony in July 2022. Affleck, frustrated with wedding planning, suggested, “F** it. Let’s just go to Vegas and get married tonight.”*

They wed at A Little White Wedding Chapel, securing their marriage license just before midnight. Lopez’s children served as witnesses, and the couple opted for a simple officiant rather than an Elvis impersonator. They later held a grand celebration in Savannah, Georgia, in August 2022. Sadly, their rekindled romance ended in 2024 after less than two years of marriage.

Why Vegas? The Appeal of Spontaneous Weddings

Las Vegas is famous for its fast and hassle-free weddings, making it a top choice for couples seeking adventure, romance, and a bit of celebrity magic. From glamorous chapels to quick marriage licenses, it’s the perfect place to make love official on a whim.

For Windey and Hoffman, their journey—from evacuating a wildfire to exchanging vows—proves that sometimes, the best love stories are the most unexpected.
