New Evidence Strengthens Prosecution Case

Prosecutors argue that the text messages, combined with surveillance footage and DNA evidence, further link the suspect, Bryan Kohberger, to the crime scene. A Ka-Bar knife sheath found near Madison Mogen’s body reportedly contained DNA that investigators matched to Kohberger, a former Ph.D. criminology student at Washington State University.

Additionally, prosecutors have obtained banking and shopping records, surveillance footage, and weather reports from Nov. 12-13, 2022, which they believe challenge Kohberger’s alibi. He previously claimed to have been driving around, observing the moon and stars during the estimated time of the murders. Idaho Murders case
