MANILA, Philippines — Filipino nurses and caregivers have more time to apply for jobs in Japan. The Japan-Philippines Economic Partnership Agreement (JPEPA) application deadline has been extended until April 25, 2025, according to the Japanese Embassy in the Philippines.
This extension offers a valuable opportunity for qualified healthcare professionals in the Philippines. The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), working with the Japan International Corporation of Welfare Services (JICWELS), continues to process applications.
350 JPEPA Jobs Now Open: Nurse and Caregiver Positions in Japan
There are 50 openings for registered nurses (Kangoshi) and 300 for certified care workers (Kaigofukushishi). These roles are based in hospitals and caregiving facilities across Japan.
Applicants will undergo 12 months of Japanese language training—6 months in the Philippines and another 6 in Japan. Fortunately, the training is free of charge, and participants will receive a daily living allowance throughout the course.
