MANILA, Philippines — Tired of long lines and endless waiting just to get your driver’s license or license plate? Relief is finally here. The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has officially launched a new service that allows Filipinos to have their driver’s licenses and vehicle plates delivered straight to their homes — with the added convenience of real-time tracking.

Through the newly introduced LTO Tracker, motorists can now easily track the status of their license or plate online, monitor the delivery journey in real time, and even update their delivery details. No more hours wasted lining up at LTO offices!

Motorists simply need to log on to ltotracker.com, where they can:

  • Check the status of their driver’s license or motor vehicle plate,
  • Update their delivery address, and
  • Pre-book deliveries for maximum convenience.

The platform’s real-time tracking feature lets users monitor their license or plate’s journey from the LTO facility all the way to their doorstep, ensuring peace of mind.

However, a quick note: foreign drivers are currently excluded from this service. Deliveries for foreign licenses will still go through the Philippine Postal Corporation.

LTO-A Big Step Towards Full Digitalization

Transportation Secretary Vivencio Dizon praised the move, calling it a “historic step toward full digitalization” of government services.

“This innovation brings LTO services closer to every Filipino, right at their fingertips,” Dizon said. While the delivery option is available, traditional walk-in pickups will remain for those who still prefer face-to-face transactions.

LTO Chief Vigor Mendoza II emphasized that this new system is not just about faster service — it’s about restoring public trust.

“Since 2014, the backlog for motor vehicle plates has been a major issue. With this new delivery service, we are directly addressing that backlog and pushing toward a modern, efficient LTO,” Mendoza said.

To ensure swift and secure deliveries, the LTO has accredited nine courier service providers nationwide, including in remote provinces, to guarantee efficient service for every Filipino motorist.

Delivering Convenience and Building Trust

“This initiative is part of the President’s vision for a fully digitalized government,” Mendoza added. “We’re not just delivering plates; we’re improving public service, embracing technology, and building trust among our people.”

By saving time, effort, and resources, the LTO’s doorstep delivery service for driver’s licenses and plates is a true game-changer. It’s a big leap forward in the Philippines’ efforts to modernize public services and improve the day-to-day lives of Filipino motorists. NOWTREND
