MANILA, Philippines — Scattered rains and dangerous heat levels will affect different parts of the country today, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
ITCZ Brings Rains and Flood Risk to Mindanao
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will trigger moderate to heavy rain in many parts of Mindanao. These include the Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Southern Mindanao, and the Davao Region.
Provinces like Zamboanga del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, and the eastern Davao provinces face a high risk of flash floods and landslides. Pagasa urges residents in these areas to stay alert and follow weather updates.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to warm winds from the east.
